Each eligible Apex Pack has a 0.045% chance of Heirloom Shards, and EA guarantees 150 Heirloom Shards within 500 eligible packs while you still have unowned base Mythics. A Legendary is guaranteed within 30 standard packs.
An estimate: Apex has no in-game counter for packs opened. Base-tier levelling packs follow the published schedule; EA gives only the total for each prestige tier (115 packs), so this calculator spreads them evenly across the tier's 500 levels.

Only eligible Apex Packs move you toward the 500-pack guarantee. EA excludes Collection Event, Thematic Event and Milestone Event packs, Collection Retro packs and replacement-item packs. The guarantee also only applies while you still have unowned base Mythic items. Count the packs you open from levelling, the battle pass and the store, and leave event packs out.
